Baud Rates and Data Formats
When transmitting binary signals, the baud rates and data formats of every RS232 interface must be the same.
The baud rate of the RS232 interfaces should not be greater than that along the communication route. With
the selected settings of the modems in this description, the modems are connected at 28 800 baud. The stan-
dard setting of 8N1 is selected as the data format (also see 2.3 RS232 Interface and DIP Switches).
