Conguring the DICOM Setup
To access the DICOM setup menus, select SETUP / SETTINGS / DICOM.
DICOM Conguration Fields
DICOM Field Description
PACS Congures the ACUSON Freestyle to link to a DICOM-compliant
Picture Archival and Communications System (PACS).
Storage Commitment When on, supported by your PACS system and, congured on
the ultrasound system, conrms that a study has been received
and stored by the target device.
Worklist When supported by your PACS system and congured on
the ultrasound system, manages the ACUSON Freestyle’s
communication with a DICOM Worklist Server to download
patient information.
System Sets the DICOM AE Title (the name the system provides to the
DICOM server) and the port to use.
DICOM Setup Menu Soft Keys
In the DICOM setup menus, the Soft Key functions include:
NEW– to add a new network connection.
DELETE – deletes a selected network connection.
EDIT – to edit or congure a network connection.
EDIT OK – conrms the values that were entered.
