Connecting the Probe
There are two ways to operate the probe with the system:
■ Cabled
■ Wireless
Cabled Probe Operation
To operate the probe with the removable probe Cable Adapter, plug the probe cable into the
system I/O panel (see “Console Inputs/Outputs Panel” on page 1-5), and insert the probe end
into the probe.
NOTE: Both ends are keyed to prevent improper connection. Do not use force to
connect either end of the cable.
During cabled probe operation, the probe comes up with the image frozen. Select Unfreeze to
go to real-time scanning.
NOTE: If a probe is already connected using the probe Cable Adapter you cannot
connect another probe using the wireless connection. To make a wireless probe
connection, unplug the probe Cable Adapter at the probe or system console.
