Settings
The Settings options are used to congure the system:
■ User Exams
■ Network
■ DICOM
User Exams
The ACUSON Freestyle comes pre-loaded with a variety of factory exam types (e.g., cardiac,
vascular). This option lets you create custom User Exams with the parameters and settings
that you specify. Note that a “u” preface identies an Exam type as being user-dened.
For detailed instructions about Exam Types, see “Factory Exam Types” on page 4-7
and “User-Dened Exam Types” on page 4-8.
Network
The Network page includes information and the interface for establishing wired Ethernet or
wireless connections with the system.

DICOM
The DICOM page includes information and the interface for establishing and managing
DICOM connections.
