6.4.3.1 Relay for fault and alarm (RT activation)
Allocation of connection terminals on periphery board (1-loop) of FC721. A cable
cross-section of 0.2 to 1.5 mm
2
can be connected to the terminals.
X7 Designation Description
6 FAU_NC Break contact fault (normally closed)
Potential-free
directional contact
Max. DC 24 V / 1 A
5 FAU_COM Center tap fault (common)
4 FAU_NO Make contact fault (normally open)
3 AL_NC Break contact alarm (normally closed)
Potential-free
directional contact
Max. DC 24 V / 1 A
2 AL_COM Center tap alarm (common)
1 AL_NO Make contact alarm (normally open)
The relays can be used e.g. for unmonitored activation of external devices.
Fault relay (inverse operation)
The fault relay is activated when at least one station fault has been detected. This
relay is activated when the control panel is in idle mode (NC/C, inverse operation).
In the event of a fault message, the relay changes the switching condition (to NO,
C). Thanks to inverse operation, a fault message will still be sent in the event of the
station losing all power.
Connection to an external monitoring
input (example)
Connection of external control
voltage e.g. for an acoustic or optical
fault message (example)
Alarm relay
The alarm relay is activated when at least one station alarm message has been
detected.
Example of connection with external signal transmitter, e.g. an optical normal
operation/alarm message display.
