1 Attach compression plate (1) if it is not already done.
2 Check that the compression plate can not be removed without pressing the compres-
sion plate release button (2).
3 Check the function of the knobs for manual compression/decompression (3).
4 Place a piece of soft material on the object table, for example a rolled up towel or a
piece of foam-rubber (4).
5 Check the function of the foot switch for motorized compression/decompression (1)
and (2) in Figure 2.
