1.2. PROFIBUS Properties
The PROFIBUS (PROcess FIeld BUS) is an open communication system for automation technology.
The
s gas analyzers ULTRAMAT, OXYMAT and CALOMAT can be connected to the PROFIBUS-
PA or the PROFIBUS-DP using optional modules.
1.2.1 PROFIBUS-PA
The A5E00015899 Exi optional module allows intrinsically safe coupling to PROFIBUS-PA.
The A5E00034504 optional module allows non-intrinsically safe coupling to PROFIBUS-PA.
The A5E00019145 optional module allows coupling to PROFIBUS-DP.

The A5E00015899 Exi optional module is an associated piece of equipment and may only be fitted in
the ULTRAMAT 6 F / OXYMAT 6 F / CALOMAT 6 F devices with protection type EExp[ia/ib] IIC T4.
