5.2 Power supply
SCALANCE X-100
Operating Instructions, 12/2016, A2B00060666-08

The power supply is connected using a 4-pin plug-in terminal block. The power supply can
be connected redundantly. Both inputs are isolated. There is no distribution of load. When a
redundant power supply is used, the power supply unit with the higher output voltage
supplies the device alone. The power supply is connected over a high resistance with the
enclosure to allow an ungrounded set up. The two power supplies are non-floating.
The following figure shows the position of the power supply of the SCALANCE X-100 IE
switches and the assignment of the terminal block.
VDC)
The power supply unit to supply the device must comply with NEC Class 2 (voltage range
18 - 32 V, current requirement 350 mA).
Do not operate the device with an AC voltage.
Never operate the device with DC voltages higher than 32 VDC.
