3.2 Mounting the CPU and connection module

Procedure
1. Insert the CPU onto the rack until it engages and then move it as needed to the correct
position.
2. Screw the CPU to the module rack.
2 recessed head screws on the front: top and bottom, tightening torque 1.5 N/m
3. Insert a blank SIMATIC memory card or a memory card with the correct configuration in
the card slot.

(Page 73).
4. Insert the connection module CM CPU 2PN M12, 7/8" onto the CPU.
5. Screw the terminal module onto the rack.
4 recessed head screws on the front, 1.5 Nm torque.
6. Mount the electronic modules and any power modules or motor starters. You can find
