7.4 SIMATIC RF642L Smartlabel
7.4.1 Features
The SIMATIC RF642L-Smartlabel is a passive and maintenance-free data carrier. The
Smartlabel operates based on UHF Class 1 Gen 2 technology and is used to save the
"Electronic Product Code" (EPC) up to 448 bits. The transponder also has 2048 bits of user
memory.
The SIMATIC RF642L is designed for direct mounting on metal surfaces.
