Description
3.3 Technical features and system requirements for built-in motors
SIMOTICS M-1FE2 built-in motors
34 Hardware Installation Manual, 04/2020, A5E50074509B AA
EMF = Electro Motive Force (applies only to synchronous motors)
Note
EMF > 820 V
Depending
on the amplitude of the induced chained voltage at maximum speed (field EMF >
820 V), a Voltage Protection Module (VPM) may be
required; see "Voltage limitation"
System requirements for the closed-control
Ensure the following requirements:
● Open-loop and closed-loop control modules
Note
Operation with older software versions
If you operate the motors with older software versions, you must commission th
e motors
as if they were made by other manufacturers. This may involve limitations of the technical
performance.
Contact your Siemens Technical Support for more information.
● Hollow-shaft measuring system
Parameterizing the converter
The rated data of the motors applies for a converter pulse frequency of 4 kHz.
Motors whose maximum speeds exceed the following speeds must be operated with a
converter frequency of 8 kHz and a current controller cycle of 62.5 µs.
● 1FE2...-8A...-.... : 12,000 rpm
● 1FE2...-8C...-.... : 12,000 rpm
Observe an appropriate Motor Module derating and the configuration specifications of the
S120. The rated motor current is the basis when selecting the Motor Module.
