5.3 Transportation and storage
Danger to life when lifting and transporting
Improper lifting and transport procedures, unsuitable or damaged lifting gear and load
handling equipment can cause death, severe injury and/or material damage.
• Only use suitable and intact lifting gear and load handling equipment which comply with
the specific national regulations.
• Only use lifting gear and load handling equipment which are suitable for the weight of
the motor. The weight of the motor appears on the rating plate.
• Do not attach any additional loads to lifting gear and load handling equipment.
• Only use suitable strap-guiding systems rope guides and spreading devices for lifting
and transporting the motor.
Transport and store the built-in motors in the original packaging.
Transporting

● Fasten the load suspension device to the provided locations of the packaging or the
motor.
● Transport the motor carefully.
● Avoid any jerky and oscillating movements during transport.
If a motor is not installed immediately after the delivery, it must be stored appropriately.
Observe the following storage conditions.

Store the motor in a dry, dust-free and vibration-free indoor storage facility.
Adhere to the following values:
