5.3 Pulse encoder with fitting accessory 6SG7000 – 2AC15
The actual speed value can be measured by this pulse encoder in both directions of rotation. It is
particularly recommended for retrofitting work on the motor shaft (normally on the non-drive end).
The pulse evaluation and 15 V – power supply EW provided directly from the SIMOTRAS HD unit
(see figure for connection). The encoder cable may only be extended using a shielded cable. In
order to simplify fitting to the motor shaft, three connection pins with different threads (M5, M6, M8)
are supplied. The cable length on the pulse encoder is 2 m; ferrules should be fitted to the ends of
the cables.

WARNING
The connecting pin is mechanically connected to the motor shaft; carelessness may result in
severe personal injury or substantial property damage.
The mechanical and electrical connection of the encoder may only be carried out by qualified
personnel.
