Fans
The temperature is sensed at several locations within the NCU.
If natural convection is not su󹪟cient to ensure cooling of the NCU, the two fans in the
dual fan module are switched on automatically. The speed is controlled so that permissible
temperature limit values are maintained at the measuring points.
After switching the NCU on, the fan is activated for a brief period of time (function test)
before turning itself o󹪜 again.
Note
The NCU can be operated only with an operational dual fan module.
