Error Cause Remedy
Error process image The process image output (PIQ) con‐
tains invalid control bit combinations
(e.g. control bits for clockwise and
counter-clockwise rotation are set at
the same time).
Check and correct the process image output
(PIQ).
Invalid parameter value The module is not or is incorrectly
parameterized or parameterization
changes are denied in current oper‐
ating mode.
• Correct and execute parameterization.
• Switch the operating mode and repeat pa‐
rameterization.
No external start parameters received Necessary startup data for the device
are missing.
Check parameterization or startup data re‐
cords.
Self-test error Unrecoverable error detected after
internal diagnostics (self-test, contac‐
tor contacts, switching element,
etc.).
Switch o the power supply (control supply
voltage) for at least 5 seconds and switch it on
again. If the fault is still present proceed as fol‐
lows:
• Please contact Technical Support (Support
Request (Page 11)).
• Replace the device.
Preset unequal actual conguration Real and congured slot of module is
dierent.
• Ensure consistency between plugged and
congured module. Possibly the referenced
module has a wiring error.
• After the cause is eliminated, the error self-
acknowledges.
Motor connection wrong The motor connection type was not
recognized or is dierent from cong‐
uration.
Ensure correct connection.
Missing load No current ow is detected after the
motor feeder is switched on. Possible
causes:
• Main circuit interrupted (fuse, cir‐
cuit breaker)
• Motor contactor or contactor con‐
trol is defective
• No load
Acknowledgment once the cause has been rec‐
tied.
Loss of phase L1 The main power monitoring detects a
phase failure.
Acknowledgment once the cause has been rec‐
tied.
Loss of phase L2
Loss of phase L3
Overvoltage The supply voltage is above the toler‐
ance limit.
Change the power supply.
Bypass defective
• Bypass defective
• The error can also be generated
by successive, brief interruptions
of the control supply voltage.
Switch o the power supply (control supply
voltage) for at least 5 seconds and switch it on
again. If the fault is still present proceed as fol‐
lows:
• Please contact Technical Support (Support
Request (Page 11)).
• Check bypasses for L1, L2 and L3 and re‐
place any that are defective.
