8.2 MOB position

The MOB display will provide information of the last activated MOB
position. To delete a MOB track from the memory, see section 3.3.6.
8.3 DSC alarm (feature prepared for future DSC VHF)
To receive an iDSC Alarm and Message from VHF will require that
the GN33 is connected to a compatible Simrad VHF radiotelephone.
The data is transmitted via the NMEA sentence:
$PSIMB,1,0,*hh<CR><LF>
Manufacturer’s code: “SIMB” Simrad, message B.
Datafelt 1: “
1” activate iDSC alarm; “0” inactive iDSC alarm.
Datafelt 2: “
0” iDSC alarm acknowledged by [CLR];
1” iDSC alarm acknowledged by [ENT].
The message from the VHF will appear in a pop-up window together
with an acoustic alarm. Press [CLR] to reset the alarm, or press [ENT]
to stop alarm and select the suggested channel for communication
- refer to the VHF manual for further details.
