Overview
Some models in the ReFlex Upright Series use hydrocarbon (HC) R290
Propane as their refrigerant. Refer to the cabinet rating label inside the
cabinet to determine refrigerant type before servicing.
Hydrocarbon is a natural refrigerant that has a very low environmental
impact. Special service requirements are needed as hydrocarbon is a
flammable refrigerant.
Safety hazards
The main hydrocarbon safety hazards are:
Flammable refrigerant.
Venting of hydrocarbon and compressor oil.
Asphyxiation.
SKOPE does NOT recommend performing hazardous activities on the
refrigeration system.
