Gauges and Indicators
Fuel Level Gauge (2)
Make sure the vehicle is level to
ensure an accurate fuel level
reading. The fuel gauge located
on the left side of the front dash panel, indicates the amount of fuel
in the fuel tank. Refuel before the fuel gauge reaches the “E” to
prevent running out of fuel. Capacity of the fuel tank is 50.2 gallons
(190 liters) total capacity with a usable capacity of 45 gallons
(171 liters). If the engine ever runs out of fuel, the fuel system will
need to be bled. Refer to “Bleeding Fuel System” page 160.
Engine Tachometer (3)
The tachometer is the gauge in
the center of the front dash panel
and indicates speed of the
engine in revolutions per minute
(rpm).
Hourmeter (4)
The hourmeter records engine
operating hours and has a total
readout of 99,999.99 hours. It is
located on the front dash panel in the lower portion of the
tachometer.
Engine Coolant Temperature
Gauge (5)
The engine coolant temperature
gauge is located on the right side
of the front dash panel. Glance at
the gauge on a regular basis during operation. The gauge monitors
the temperature at which the engine is operating. If the gauge goes
over 210° F (99° C) the engine coolant is too hot. Idle the engine for
1 minute prior to shutting the vehicle down. If the radiator is boiling
over, SHUT THE VEHICLE DOWN AS SOON AS PRACTICAL.
