To display the D -line

Doppler.Inthecardiacexam,youcanselectCW
Doppler.
1 PressModeandselectDoppler.
2 Doanyofthefollowingasneeded:
•Adjustcontrols.See“PWDoppler
controls”onpage 22.
•Usingtheto uchpad,positiontheDline
andgatewheredesired.Horizontal
movementsposition
theDline.Vertical
movementspositionthegate.
•(PWDoppler)Tocorrecttheangle
manually,dooneofthefollowing:
•Click,andthenusethetouchpad.
ClickingtogglesbetweentheDline
andanglecorrection.
Freezetheimage,andthenturnthe
Angle knob.
Youcanadjusttheangleinincrements
from‐74°
to+74°.
To display the spectral trace
1 DisplaytheDline.
2 Doeitherofthefollowing:
•PressDopplerontheleft.
•PressModeand selectDoppler
Thetimescaleabovethetracehassmallmarks
at200msintervalsandlargemarksat
onesecondintervals.
3 Doanyofthefollowingasneeded:
•Adjustcontrols.See“Spectraltrace
controls”
onpage 23.
•PressUpdate Doppler andUpdate 2Dto
togglebetweentheDlineandspectral
trace.
•Ifusingaduplexlayout,pressModeand
selectDopplertotogglebetweenthe
fullscreenDlineandtheduplexlayout.

PW Doppler controls
CW, PW (Cardiac exam only) Toggles
between PW Doppler and CW
Doppler.
The current selection appears in the
mode data area.
Gate Press the button or turn the knob to
select the gate size. Settings
depend on transducer and exam
type.
Angle
Corrects the angle.
Press to correct the angle to 0°,
+60°, or -60°.
For a finer adjustment (2°
increments from -74° to +74°), press
the Angle key and then turn the
Angle knob. The current setting
appears in the mode data area. You
can correct the angle whether the
image is frozen or live.
Available in PW Doppler.
PW/TDI (Cardiac exam only) Turns tissue
Doppler imaging on and off. When
on, TDI appears in the mode data
area.
Available in PW Doppler.
