Remote Operation Guide
Previously it was mentioned that the System Diagnostic Unit has the capability to operate as a
hard-wired remote unit. This section will describe this mode of operation in detail.
Pressing the REMOTE key from the communication normal screen will place the diagnostic unit
in remote operation mode and display the following screen.

After this screen is displayed, the diagnostic unit will insure that communication with the Power
Pro/EC300/EC400 module remains intact. If the diagnostic unit becomes improperly connected
to the module or communication fails while the diagnostic is in remote mode, the screen shown
below will appear.

-- Communication Failure Screen --
This message indicates there are no other operations available from the diagnostic unit while in
this mode because it has lost communication with the Power Pro/EC300/EC400 module. The
source of trouble must be determined and corrected. By pressing the Spacesaver cube symbol on
the upper left of the keypad, the System Diagnostic Unit can be sent back to the initial
communication test where the problem should be able to be determined.
