Model F120 UV/IR Flame Detector
System Fault
The ame detector is designed to continually monitor it’s own operation and to alert personnel
when it is not functioning properly. This condition is reported as a FAULT. When a fault condition
is active, the following occur:
• The yellow FAULT LED indicator turns on (if failure is not due to power source failing)
• The 0-20 mA signal to external equipment decreases to 2.0 mA or 0.0 mA
• The fault relay contact to external equipment changes state
The yellow FAULT LED indicator will remain on until the fault is resolved.
The FAULT may indicate a dirty lens or debris has accumulated on the lens. It may also
indicate the Automatic Self-Check has become inoperable or the electronics module needs
repair or replacement.
!
WARNING: While in FAULT mode the ame detector may not be able to report
an alarm condition. The source of fault condition should be corrected as soon as
possible for safety reasons.
