25.4 Installing the Manifold
N Push the manifold (1) onto the injection body (12) as
far as stop.
25.5 Installing the Airflow Shroud
N Fit the grommet (3) into the guide in the airflow
shroud (4) as far as stop.
N Install the manifold (1), @ 25.4.
N Coat outside of manifold (1) at cylinder side with
press fluid.
N Position the airflow shroud (4) on the cylinder and
push the manifold (1) through the opening in the
airflow shroud (4) at the same time.
N Push the airflow shroud (4) onto the manifold (1) as
far as stop.
N Insert and tighten down the screws (2 and 5) firmly.
N Push generator’s wiring harness into the guides in the
airflow shroud, @ 22.5.
N Place the tank housing against the crankcase.
N Push generator’s wiring harness into the guides in the
tank housing, @ 22.5.
N Insert generator’s black connector in the controller,
@ 22.5.
N Fit impulse hose in the guide in the tank housing, @
20.9.
N Install the fuel return hose with nipple, @ 20.7.
N Fit fuel hose in the guide in the tank housing, @ 20.5.
N Install fuel suction hose outside the tank with nipple,
@ 20.3.
N Insert and engage the blue connector of sensor on
the controller, @ 19.8.
N Push sensor wires into cable holder on the tank
housing, @ 19.8.
N Insert and tighten down screw on AV element
between tank housing and crankcase, @ 17.3.
N Install the handlebar, @ 9.2.
N Install the injection pump, @ 21.9.
N Install sleeve and throttle body, @ 15.5.
N Install the filter base, @ 15.3.
N Fit the ignition lead and spark plug boot, @ 19.6.
N Mount the shroud.
N Install the air filter.
N Fit the filter cover.
25.6 Removing the Contact Strip
N Preparations, @ 3.1.
N Remove the airflow shroud (4), @ 25.2.
N Take out the screw (9).
N Take out the screw (10).
N Remove the contact strip (11).
25.7 Installing the Contact Strip
N Preparations, @ 3.1.
N Place contact strip (11) against the injection
body (12).
N Fit the screw (10).
N Fit the screw (9).
N Tighten down the screw (10).
N Tighten down the screw (9).
N Install the airflow shroud (4), @ 25.5.
25.8 Removing the Injection Module
The injection module consists of the injection body (12)
and the injection valve (8).
N Preparations, @ 3.1.
N Remove the airflow shroud (4), @ 25.2.
N Pull fuel return hose off the injection module’s elbow
connector, @ 20.6.
N Pull fuel hose off the injection module’s elbow
connector, @ 20.4.
N Remove cable lug of sensor’s red wire, @ 22.3.
N Take out the screws (6).
N Remove the injection module (12 and 8).
N Remove the gasket (13).
N If necessary: Remove the manifold, @ 25.3.
25.9 Installing the Injection Module
N Fit the gasket (13) in the groove in the injection body
(12).
N Place the injection module (12 and 8) against the
cylinder so that the pegs on the injection body (12)
engage the holes (15) in the cylinder.
N Insert and tighten down the screws (6) firmly.
N Fit cable lug of sensor’s red wire, @ 22.4.
N If the manifold (1) has been removed: Install the
manifold (1), @ 25.4.
