28.7 Installing Crankshaft and Assembling Crankcase
N Position crankshaft (4) so that its tapered stub faces
the ball bearing (3).
N Heat inner race of the ball bearing (3) to about 150°C
(300°F).
N Push the crankshaft stub home as far as stop.
N Check that the two guide sleeves (arrows) are in
position on the crankcase (7).
N Place the gasket (6) on the crankcase (7) so that the
holes line up and the gasket (6) is held in position by
the sleeves (arrows).
N Heat inner race of the ball bearing (5) to about 150°C
(300°F).
N Hold crankcase (2) so that the holes are in alignment.
N Push crankcase (2) together with crankshaft (4) into
place as far as stop, making sure that the gasket (6)
is neither pinched or kinked.
N Insert and tighten down the screws (11).
N Turn the screws (11) another 90°.
N Install the oil seals, @ 28.3.
N Fit the cover (10) so that it snaps into place.
N Install the stop buffer, @ 24.7.
N Install grommets in crankcase, @ 24.5.
N Install the piston, @ 27.4.
N Install the cylinder, @ 27.5.
N Install the muffler and heat shield, @ 26.3.
N Install the injection module, @ 25.9.
N Install the manifold, @ 25.4.
N Install the airflow shroud, @ 25.5.
N Install the tank housing, @ 23.8.
N Install the impulse hose, @ 20.9.
N Install the fuel return hose, @ 20.7.
N Install the fuel hose, @ 20.5.
N Install the controller, @ 19.8.
N Install the sensor, @ 22.4.
