4.7. Application limits
During the planning and installation of UltraSonic humidiers, take care to ensure that all materials that
come into contact with demineralized water are resistant to it. See table at bottom of page for the most
important materials.

Water quality < 80 μS/cm, up to 150 μS/cm for brief periods
Supply voltage to control unit 230 V ± 10%
Voltage to ultrasonic humidier 48 V ± 10%
Water pressure 0.5 bar to 6 bar upstream of ultrasonic humidier
Water temperature +5°C to +40°C
Air humidity ≤ 90% RH
Air ow rate 1,5 - 3,0 m/s
* For individual operating hours, e.g. during start-up or during the delivery time of new lter cartridges.
No longer than 5% of operating hours in total. Also see "4.9. Water treatment" on page 20.
CAUTION
Reducing conductivity.
Depending on the planned application, it may make sense to further reduce conductivity.
This must be done by the plant operator.

CAUTION
High dust content.
If the air has an unusually high dust content (e.g. silicon powder in printing presses), the
air must be ltered, because deposits of dust on the water reduce the capacity of the humidier.
The air lter is not included with delivery, and needs to be provided by the plant operator.

Quality of drinking water.
The conductivity of the treated water may vary depending on the quality of the available drinking water.
Note
CAUTION
Room temperature below 0°C.
The humidier must not be used if the room temperature drops below 0°C.

Drain the water tank of the units.

Resistant materials.
The connection between the demineralization system and the humidier must consist of a material that
is resistant to demineralized water.
