Installation STULZ UltraSonic -System for duct humidication ENS 14 A - 18 A-
CAUTION
Installation in an elevated location.
If installing the humidier in an elevated location, make sure that it is easily accessible for adjustments,
inspections, maintenance and repair work. Insufcient space can cause maintenance personnel to
suffer injuries and accidents!
CAUTION
Bear local conditions in mind.
Adapt the (on-site) fastening of the unit in line with local conditions.
CAUTION
Horizontal position.
The unit must be mounted precisely horizontally.
It is essential to check the position of the humidier before starting it up!
IMPORTANT
CAUTION
Adhere to set clearances.
Between the mist guide tube and any component that may be located in front of the unit, leave a clear-
ance that is greater than the humidier distance.
See section "5.1. Humidier distance" on page 27.
IMPORTANT
CAUTION
Direct exposure to air from air conditioning units.
Avoid directly exposing the humidier outlet to air from air conditioning units.
IMPORTANT
7.3. In-duct installation
Select the right type of installation to suit local circumstances. The examples below show the installation
of an ENS ultrasonic humidier on a bracket and in a duct. If the ultrasonic humidier is mounted on a
bracket, the safety overow must be connected to the drain via a hose. If it is not possible to connect the
safety overow to the drain, the ultrasonic humidier can be installed in a tray in which a water sensor is
tted.
Install the unit such that the expelled mist is distributed uniformly and everywhere in the duct (also see
section "5. Design and planning" on page 24). In order to achieve the shortest possible humidication
distances, it is important that the mist is distributed over the entire cross-section of the duct or unit as uni-
formly as possible, and that the air speed is kept in the range of 1.5 to 3 m/s. If this air speed is exceed-
ed, a perforated plate must be afxed in front of the air inlet of the humidier. Perforated plates reduce
the free diameter by more than 60%, and therefore effectively lower the air speed through the humidier.
Both perforated plates and the bracket are available from STULZ as optional accessories (see section
"3.1. Optional accessories" on page 11).
CAUTION
Maximum +40°C at humidier housing.
During the heating process, the air at the humidier housing must not exceed +40°C!
