12.2. Disposal
The ultrasonic humidier consists of metal and plastic parts. The instructions below are
based on the relevant national implementing provisions:
1. The components of electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of as municipal
waste, and must therefore undergo a waste separation process.
2. Public or private disposal systems approved by the local authorities must be used for disposal.
Furthermore, after its use the unit can be part-exchanged by the retailer on the purchase of a new
product.
3. This equipment may contain hazardous substances: improper use or incorrect disposal
may have negative consequences for human health and the environment.
4. The symbol afxed to the product/packaging and in the instructions for use
(crossed-out waste container on wheels) indicates that the unit was introduced
onto the market after August 13, 2005 and must therefore undergo waste separation.
5. If electrical and electronic waste is not disposed of in accordance with
regulations, the penalties demanded by local disposal regulations shall be imposed.
12. Dismantling and disposal
12.1. Dismantling

Dismantle the ultrasonic humidier into
its individual components. To do this,
perform all the steps in "11.5. Inspect the
electrical system" on page 78, and all
other necessary steps.

Dispose of the ultrasonic humidier in
accordance with regulations.

Shut down the ultrasonic humidier.
To do this, perform all the steps in "10.1.
Switching off" on page 71.
