7.4. Connecting water supply line(s)
CAUTION
Frost protection.
Protect the entire system from frost.
IMPORTANT
CAUTION
Contaminated water pipes.
Filings and dirt must not get into water pipes!
●
All pipes must be cleaned before they are connected to the unit.
IMPORTANT
CAUTION
Resistant materials.
The connection between the demineralization system and the humidier must consist of a material that
is resistant to demineralized water.
●
Only use approved materials. See "4.7. Application limits" on page 20.
IMPORTANT
CAUTION
Regulations from water supply companies.
Regulations from water supply companies must be complied with.
WARNING
For the ultrasonic humidier, use demineralized drinking water with the conductivity that is suitable for
your application (see section "4.7. Application limits" on page 18).
Provide each unit with a stop cock in the drinking water supply pipe.
Clean all lines before connecting them to the humidier. The supply line can be a pressure hose or a
stainless steel tube, depending on the safety risk.
Connect the overow pipe for additional security. However, no water ows into the overow during nor-
mal operation.
CAUTION
Demineralized drinking water.
The ultrasonic humidier is operated with demineralized drinking water, to ensure that the transducers
retain their function throughout the unit's service life. Furthermore, if the mineral content of the water is
too high for the planned application, this may lead to the formation of deposits in the humidified room.
●
Check the mineral content and conductivity of the drinking water to prevent damage to property.
●
Replenish ion exchangers regularly and in good time.
