Telescopic Arm
Inspection and Maintenance
Greasing
¡ Every day or every 10 hours
¡ Type of grease ..... Lithium-based multi-
purpose grease No. 2
¡ Greasing points
1. Fully retract the bucket, arm and extend
the telescopic cylinders, lower the boom
and ground the bucket.
2. Lower the blade and stop the engine.
3. Clean the grease nipple.
4. Add grease to the grease nipple using a
grease gun.
5. Wipe off the grease that has been
squeezed out and any extra grease.
Looseness in the telescopic arm
When the telescopic arm is used for long
periods of time, wear of the sliding parts may
cause the gap between the outside arm and
inside arm to increase to above the set value,
resulting in looseness.
Other parts may be damaged if the telescopic
arm is used with such looseness. Contact a
Takeuchi dealer for maintenance.
Note that no maintenance is necessary other
than the greasing described above.
