8.1.4. Connecting the marking head
Your machine has connectors on the marking head and the control unit, which are connected by the head cable.
You can refer to the chapter providing a description of the connections in order to view the cable and connectors.
Each connector is equipped with ergos to prevent connection errors.
The connector for the control unit is a locking BNC connector, once the connector is correctly orientated and
inserted, the outer ring is turned 1/3 turn clockwise until the “click” and the connector is locked
The head connector is a screw connector. An O
-
ring (ref. O) is
positioned on the base (ref. B) to prevent vibrations, its condition and
correct positioning shou
ld be checked before connection.
To connect the connector (ref. P) onto the base (ref. B):

Position the connector with the arrow (ref. A) orientated
towards the H on the base (ref. B).
· Insert the connector as far as the O-
ring (ref. O) ensuring that
it remains straight.
· Manualy s
crew the ring until it is tight. It is not necessary to
use pliers or other tools to tighten the ring.

It is recommended to keep a minimum unobstructed distance of 250 mm (10in) along the axis of the head cable to
enable connector connection/disconnection as well as for compliance with the recommendations for the minimum
bending radius.
Warning, observe the following bending radius when integrating the machine:
· R = 60mm (2 ½ in) minimum for the static integration of the head and cable.
· R = 100mm (4in) minimum for the integration of the head and cable where one or both are mobile.
Failure to follow these recommendations may cause the
deterioration of the head cable and your marking
