Programming of telephone section Installer Manual - TP8-96 VIDEO
3-2
TELEPHONE CHANNELS
For each telephone channels it is possible to program the following
parameters:
z A...H
Description which identify the channel (max. 14 digits).
z Tel. no. 1
The principal telephone number that will always be called first
(max. 24 digits).
z Tel. no. 2
Reserve telephone number that will be called if there is no
answer to the principal number or the line is busy
(max. 24 digits).
z Format
The transmission protocole is identified by a 3-digits code. All
the channels are programmed by default with the digital
Tecnoalarm protocol (000 Tecno).
By clicking on Format, the beside image is viewed.
z ID
The identification code is a code with 2 to 6 digits which
permits the connection of the control panel to different
monitoring stations (requiring ID codes of different length), i.e. a
monitoring station can require the 1234 code while another
monitoring station may expect 223344.
Repeat the same procedures for each telephone channels to be
programmed.
CALL-BACK
The call-back numbers are indispensable for remote programming of the control panel. When the installer tries to
connect to the control panel via telephone line, the onboard telephone section interrupts the communication after an
initial data exchange and calls one of the call-back numbers (starting with the first one).
The numbers should correspond to the installer or monitoring station authorized for remote programming. This
mechanism has been developped as a protection of both the user and the installer against attempts at sabotage.
The first callback number is always called first. The second one is only called if the first call is unsuccessful (line busy
or no answer). If both calls are unsuccessful, another four attempts are made alternating the first and second callback
number.
z Call back
Description which identify the owner of the call bac numbers, i.e. installer (max. 14 digits)
z Tel. no. 1
The first call back number is always the first to be called (max. 15 digits).
z Tel. no. 2
The second call back number is called if there is no answer to the principal number or the line is busy
(max. 15 digits).
z Format
The protocol for callback communications is unchangeable, i.e. digital Tecnoalarm format (00 Tecnoalarm).
z Disable redirection
The redirection of callback permits the execution of return calls to a telephone number different from those entered in
the telephone configuration window. Using the programming and monitoring software it is infact possible to enable
the redirection of callback and program a callback number in the software configuration (icon with PC and the 3 blue
keys).
Check the corresponding item to disable the function.
COMMUNICATOR BLOCK
The telephone channels are classified by the kind of protocol they use, i.e. the voice protocol, the special digital format
developped by Tecnoalarm or one of the most common digital formats.
The telephone section of the control panel can be set so as to block the specified channels upon reception of the
blocking command (* on the telephone dial).
According to programming, the communicator block affects either the vocal, digital or Tecnoalarm channels or all three
and this either singularly or altogether:
WARNING
It is compulsory to program the ID code of the channel.
All the channels have the same priority. The alarm are transmitted in chronological order starting with
channel A. The only exception is the hold-up alarm. If a transmission of another alarm is in course,
the active alarm call is interrupted to execute immediately the call for hold-up. At the end of the alarm
call, the previous call is restarted. From that onwards, the normal order continues.
