Programming of access codes and keys Installer Manual - TP8-96 VIDEO

PROGRAMMING OF THE CODE
For every code the following parameters can be programmed:
z Name or description (max. 16 caracters), e.g. the name of
the owner of the system
z Code
The code value is the numerical value associated to the
code and to be entered for initiation of the function
programmed (e.g. 23668).
The maximum length of the code depends on what has
been programmed in the item Code length.
z Type, i.e. the function that is initiated upon entering of the
code (arming/disarming or by-pass)
z Code length
The code length is relevant for all the codes of the system.
The control panel accepts 4 to 6-digits codes. The default
code length is 5 digits.
CODE-PROGRAMS ASSOCIATION
The code will only be enabled to act on (arm/disarm or partset)
the associated programs (1 to 8).
To associate a program to the code, click on the corresponding
item. The program number will be shown as a confirmation of
the association.
PROGRAMMING OF THE ATTRIBUTES
To associate the attributes to the code, check the relevant item.
z Manual communicator block
If checked, upon disarming of the system (by entering the
user code) the active telephone channels (and those
queued up) can be blocked by entering the user code
again followed by the EXIT key.
z Automatic communicator block on disarming
If checked, upon disarming of the system (by entering the
user code) the active telephone channels (and those
queued up) are blocked automatically.
z Hold-up code
Activates the hold-up function on the code. Under duress
the user can so apparently disarm the system and
simultaneously release a silent alarm by entering a slightly
different code. The hold-up code differs from the user code
only in the last figure that is decreased by one unit, e.g. the
owner of the master code (default code 12345) will release
a hold-up alarm by entering:
+ 12344
z By-pass general alarms
If checked, the user will be entitled to arm the system even
in presence of a general alarm (i.e. tamper, low battery,
power failure, supervision, trouble modules)
z Disabling of remote access
If checked, the user will not be entitled to arm or disarm
the associated programs at distance by telephone.
z Disabling of direct arming/disarming
If checked, the user will not be entitled to arm all the
associated programs directly by pressing the hash key (#)
but will have to arm them one after the other.
WARNING
The master code is generally reserved to the owner of the system. It is always enabled to act on all
the system's programs.
WARNING
If the code ends in 0, the hold-up code ends in 9, e.g. 12340 becomes 12349.
