Appendix A: Specifications
All specifications apply to the TDS2000C and TDS1000C-EDU series models.
TPP0101 and TPP0201 probe specifications appear in Appendix B. To verify
that the osci
lloscope meets specifications, the oscilloscope must first meet the
following conditions:
The oscillo
scope must have been operating continuously for twenty minutes
within the specified operating temperature.
You mus t pe
rform the Do Self Cal operation, accessible through the Utility
menu, if the operating temperature changes by more than 5 °C (9 °F ).
The oscil
loscope must be within the factory calibration interval.
All specifications are guaranteed unless noted “typical.”

DC, A
C, or Ground
AC coupling connects a capacitor in series with the input circuitry. The DC input impedance becomes very high, since capacitance
is in series with all paths to ground.
Gro
und coupling mode provides a reference waveform derived from the values identified during SPC. This reference waveform
shows visually where ground is expected to be.

This adjusts the display scale factor of the instrument to accommodate various probe types.
Accuracy of the probe used must be added to the accuracy specifications of the instrument.
N
o automatic probe interface is provided, so the user must assure the settings match the probe characteristics. The probe check
function allows setting of the proper attenuation for voltage probes.
