12.7.2 Local upgrade
In order to prevent the router from being damaged:

Ensure that the firmware is applicable to the router.
⚫
It is recommended to upgrade the firmware by connecting a LAN port to a computer and
performing the upgrade on the web UI.
⚫
When you are upgrading the firmware, do not power off the router.
Step 1 Go to www.tendacn.com. Download an applicable firmware of the router to your local
computer and unzip it.
Step 2 Start a web browser on a device connected to the router and visit tendawifi.com to log in
to the web UI of the router.
Step 3 Choose System Settings > Firmware Upgrade
Step 4 Choose Local Upgrade.
Step 5 Click Choose File.
Step 6 Target the firmware file downloaded previously (extension: bin), and click Open (AC23 is
used for illustration here).
