PM5020 Dual-Channel Benchtop Power and Energy Meter Chapter 4 Operating Instructions
The NTCs can be configured through the touch screen interface. To open the screen below, touch the icon
in the Settings Menu.
The NTCs are configurable according their nominal resistance at 25°C and their B value. The factory setting
of the PM5020 automatically prepares the NTC inputs for the TSP-TH probes with 10 kOhm and 3988 K.
Humidity and Temperature Sensors
Optionally, specific integrated humidity and temperature sensors, the Texas Instruments HDC1080 or
HDC3020, can be connected via the provided I2C bus in the 10-PIN PCB Connector Phoenix for Digital I/O
with four wires to SCL (I2C Bus Clock), SDA (I2C Bus Data), 3.3 V and GND. Please see the chapter Pin
Assignment Digital I/O connector.
The relative humidity and temperature reading is displayed in the settings menu under Environment setup.
For the sensor technical data, please refer to the manufacturer's data sheets.
4.9 Shutter
A shutter can be connected to the PM5020 power meter at the rear panel (Hirose HR10A-7R-6S connector)
and controlled through the touch screen, without the need for a separated shutter controller. This feature
is convenient in free beam laser applications in closed systems which require safety measures when the
system is opened. In combination with the interlock, this can be easily implemented.
