4.11.3.2.2 RS232 Operation
The power meter PM5020 can be operated with serial communication via RS232.
Connect the PM5020 power meter using an appropriate connector cable.
Go to the Settings Menu and open the submenu Interface .
The below screen "Serial" provides the information to connect the PM5020 to the network.
Please use a RS232 standard protocol for RS232 communications. For questions, please contact our engin-
eers at Thorlabs.
Please set up the port as follows:
115.200 Bit/s (default)
Supported range of Baud Rate: 9.600 and 230400 Bit/s
LF (x0A; \n). The termination character needs to be enabled.
