Keeping the Rice Warm

Keeping a small amount of rice
warm
Gather the rice at the center of the inner pot; serve
as soon as possible.
Elapsed Keep Warm time display
Hold down the [Hour] key to display the elapsed
KeepWarmtime.Theelapsedtimewillbedisplayed
in 1-hour increments up to 24 hours (“24h”).
Ifmorethan12hourshaselapsed,thetimeonthe
display will blink up to 24 hours. Once 24 hours has
elapsed,“24”willblinkonthedisplay.

● Avoidthefollowing,astheymayresultinunusual
odors,dryness,discoloration,andspoilingofthe
rice,orcorrosionoftheinnerpot.
• UsingtheKeepWarmfunctionwithcoldrice
• Adding cold rice to rice that is being kept warm
• Leaving a spatula in the inner pot while the
KeepWarmfunctionison
• UsingtheKeepWarmfunctionwiththepower
plug disconnected
• UsingtheKeepWarmfunctionforlongerthan
12 hours
• Keeping less than the minimum required
amountofricewarm(See“Specications”on
p.45.)
• UsingtheKeepWarmfunctionforanything
other than white rice (including rinse-free rice)
● Whenusingthe“Porridge”menu,theporridge
can become pasty if kept warm for too long; serve
as soon as possible.
● Be sure to remove any grains of rice that adhere
to the brim of the inner pot as well as to any
gaskets.Failuretodosocanresultindryness,
discoloration,odors,andstickinessoftherice
being cooked.
● Serve cooked rice as soon as possible in cold
climates and high temperature environments.
● Do not leave the cooking plate or food cooked
using the cooking plate inside the rice cooker
whiletheKeepWarmfunctionison.
