6-3.
Short Centrifuge Runs with the “Flash” Key
Press the key to start short centrifuge runs.
Refer to "7-3. Selecting the Flash Mode Pattern" and "7-4.Setting the Speed in the Flash Mode" for
checking or changing the setting for a short centrifuge run.
The default value of the Flash run mode is set to "1" and the Flash speed is set at 5,000rpm.

Press and hold down the key after starting the operation. A single "pip" sounds.
The key activates a short centrifuge run at the preset settings for as long as the key is held
down regardless of run time.

The rotor accelerates to a set speed. After reaching the set speed, the deceleration starts and
allows the rotor to stop.
Set value: 1
6-4. Displaying the RCF
The RCF can be displayed on the control panel instead of the speed.
The MX-307, 207 and 107 calculate the RCF value from a rotational radius set by the
key. Before calculating the RCF value, set the rotational radius properly in accordance with the
rotor and tube in use referring to “11-4. Rotor Specications and List of Applicable Tubes”. (See
“7-1. Setting the Rotational Radius.”)
The following formula relates the RCF to the rotor speed and the rotational radius.

The “G” unit lamp lights up and the Speed/RCF display switches to RCF value.
