8-2. Cleaning and Disinfecting the Rotor
If rotors, buckets or tube racks become stained or dirty, clean and disinfect them according to
the following procedure:
Remove rotors, buckets and racks from the unit.
Wash them thoroughly with a lukewarm water
of approximately 50℃.

To clean rotors, buckets and racks
>
Remove stubborn stains with a neutral detergent.
Do not use caustic detergents or detergents other
than neutral detergents. These may cause corrosion.
Rinse them with distilled water.
Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Sterilize with a gas or disinfect with ethanol.

To disinfect rotors, buckets and racks
>
If rotors, buckets or racks are heated at 100℃ or
higher, it may cause corrosion or damage.
If there are specic instruction manuals for rotors,
buckets or racks, follow cleaning and disinfection
procedures stated in each manual.
