Steeringwheel
Procedure
1.Releasethetabsonthebackofthesteering
wheelthatholdthecentercoverinplace,and
removethecoverfromthehubofthesteering
wheel.
2.Removethelocknutandwasherfromthe
steeringshaft.
3.Slidethesteeringwheelandwasherontothe
shaft.
Note:Alignthesteeringwheelontheshaftso
thatthecrossbeamishorizontalwhenthetires
arepointedstraightaheadandthethickerspoke
ofthesteeringwheelisdownward.
Note:Thedustcoverispositionedontothe
steeringshaftatthefactory.
4.Securethesteeringwheeltotheshaftwiththe
locknutandtorquethelocknutto24to29N∙m
(18to22ft-lb)asshowninFigure3.
5.Alignthetabsofthecoverwiththeslotsinthe
steeringwheelandsnapthecoverontothe
steeringwheelhub(Figure3).
