1.Raisethebedandpositionthesafetysupporton
theextendedliftcylindertosecurethebed.
2.Checkthetensionbypressingthebeltatmid
spanbetweenthecrankshaftandalternator
pulleyswith10kg(22lb)offorce(Figure64).
Note:Anewbeltshoulddeect8to12mm
(0.3to0.5inch).
Note:Ausedbeltshoulddeect10to14mm
(0.4to0.55inch).Ifthedeectionisincorrect,
proceedtothenextstep.Ifcorrect,continue
operation.
3.T oadjustbelttension,performthefollowing:
A.Loosenthe2alternator-mountingbolts
(Figure64).

removethefronthoodtoeasilyaccesstothepedal
pivot.
1.Loosenthejamnutssecuringtheclutchcableto
thebracketonthebellhousing(Figure65).
Note:Youmayremoveandrotatetheballjoint,
ifadditionaladjustmentisrequired.
