Disconnecting the battery
NOTE! Observe the disconnection sequence when removing the battery for stor-
age or disconnecting the battery terminals.
1. Switch off the batteries.
2. Set the battery main switch to the off position.
3. Disconnect the black negative power cable from the negative terminal of
the battery.
4. Disconnect the red positive power cable from the positive terminal of the
battery.
5. Disconnect the bridge cables between the batteries when using more than
one battery.
10 Maintenance and repair
10.1 User qualications
Repairs and maintenance not described in this operating manual may only be
carried out by qualied expert personnel from Torqeedo Service or a Torqeedo
service partner. Service must be carried out at the specied intervals or after the
specied operating hours by Torqeedo Service or by a Torqeedo service partner.
Failure to carry out or document the prescribed maintenance intervals will result
in loss of warranty and guarantee. Make sure that the maintenance carried out is
documented in your service booklet.

10.3 Cleaning
WARNING
Danger of injury from propeller! This can result in moderate or severe bodily
injuries.
Observe the safety regulations.
Watch out for people in the water.
Always switch off the system via the battery main switch when working
on the propeller or other components.
