4. Errors, Warnings and Notifications
The transponder distinguishes 3 types of faults:
• Degrading failures
• Limiting failures
• Severe failures
Additionally notifications are displayed where appropriate.
In order to be serviced, a defective transponder needs to be shipped to the nearest service station. For

4.1
Degrading failures
If a degrading failure is detected the transponder continues to operate. But its performance may be
reduced. Once detected a warning message is displayed. This message can be confirmed by pressing
the rotary knob. The normal operation display will be shown again with the failure indication.
To handle a nonrecurring cause the transponder can be switched off and
on again. If the error reoccurs the transponder can be operated as usual
but with reduced performance.
Note:
Only the last failure is shown except for the battery voltage warning.
