4.2 Limiting failures
If no FID-Code (Flight ID) is entered or if the corresponding Aircraft Address (AA-Code) is missing or
incomplete, the following failure is displayed after switching on the transponder:
To fix this error an appropriate FID and AA-Code has to be configured as described in chapter 3.4.2.
Note:
This message can be cleared by pressing the rotary knob. The transponder will then operate in A/C
mode only.
4.3 Severe failures
In case a severe failure is detected, a message (example) as shown below is displayed. No further
operation of the transponder is possible. No replies will be made to interrogations and ADS-B out is
switched off.

To handle a nonrecurring cause the transponder can be switched off and
on again. But if the error reoccurs the transponder must be switched off.
