6.9 Description of the operating parameters
6.9.1 Count direction
The count direction defines whether ascending position values are output from the
measuring system if the measuring system shaft rotates clockwise or counter-
clockwise (view onto the measuring system flange).
6.9.2 Class 2 Functionality
Defines the functional scope of the measuring system. Class 2 switched off means
only Class 1 functions are active in the measuring system; it does not scale the
position value and is not adjustable.
6.9.3 Commissioning diagnostics
Defines whether the measuring system triggers a "diagnosis alarm" (OB82 for
SIMATIC
S7) for an internal error (memory or value jump > 1 revolution), also see
Chapter "Alarms", page 127.
