9.5 Process data - status
Each port (IO-Link device/master) has a value status (PortQualifier). The value status
indicates whether the process data are VALID or INVALID.
By the measuring system, the value status is transmitted cyclically with the process
input data to the IO-Link master. This status is evaluated by the IO-Link master and
indicates the process data correspondingly.
If the process data are identified as INVALID by the IO-Link master,
the measuring system set
- the position data to the error value 0x7FFFFFFF (+2 147 483 647) and
- the velocity data to the error value 0x7FFF (+32767),
until the failure is present no more.

Remedy
Position skips

system
Strong vibrations
Vibrations, impacts and shocks, e.g. on
presses, are dampened with "shock modules".
If the error recurs despite these measures, the
measuring system must be replaced.
Electrical faults (EMC)
Perhaps isolated flanges and couplings made
of plastic help against electrical faults, as well
as shielded cables with twisted pair wires for
data and supply. Also see guidelines in chapter
Installation” as from page 37.
