17. Marking metals using metal mark paint
Normally it´s not efficient to mark metals using a CO
2
laser engraver. But there is a
useful possibility using a special chemical substance. This substance is painted on
your workpiece. Afterwards you laser into the surface, which will fix the coating. (The
laser radiation will be absorbed on the parts of the surface which are covered by the
paint)
Not fixed areas can be washed away with water.
