Replacing the main module
When replacing the main module, ensure that the correct module is used (the module for SRS2
and XRS2 models are different).
Replacing the main module will cause all customer data to be lost. Ensure that all data is
transferred to a PC using Data Link. Back-up data must be transferred back onto the stick reade

efore the device is returned to the customer. See
Backing up customer data
on page 18.

o remove the main module:
Do NOT use a variable speed drill to tighten or undo the screws.
1 Open the case. See page 30.
2 Carefully lift off the antenna assembly from the case, ensure that the wires from the antenna assembly are
not pulled off. Place the antenna assembly next to the case.
3 Disconnect the battery, USB connector loom, vibration motor, buzzer connectors from the main module. See
a diagram showing the PCA connections on page 22.
4 Disconnect the LCD and keypad FFCs from the main module.
5 If the main module or antenna assembly is going to be replaced, unsolder the antenna wires from the main
module.
6 Manually remove the screw securing the main module to the case rear.

7 Remove the main module assembly.
