Repair procedures
Disassembling and assembling the stick reader case
Do NOT use a variable speed drill to tighten or undo the screws.

he case front and case rear are supplied as a single spare part. Even if only one half of the case is
damaged and requires replacement, it is important that both case halves are replaced in order to
provide an effective seal.
Opening the case
1 Open the cap covering the USB connector.
2 Place the stick reader with the buttons facing down. Using a manual screwdriver, unscrew the 12 screws
securing the case rear to the case front (see page 32). Take care not to continue turning the screw once fully
unscrewed as it will damage the thread in the plastic boss.
3 Turn the stick reader over, gathering the screws as they drop from the case.
4 Carefully lift off the case rear. It is likely to stick slightly, so gently rocking should be able to remove it.
