OPERATING CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS
STEERHEAD AND TILLER ASSEMBLY (cont’d)
SIDETRACKER OPTION - 2W2 ONLY (cont'd)
Operation (cont'd)
NOTE:
The sidetracker may be operated from either side of the unit.
The sidetracker button can only be depressed for 8-10 seconds
continuously.
3. Place steer tiller arm in the coast control position.
In the coast control position the brakes will not apply
automatically, they must be manually applied. Do not park,
stop or operate this unit on an incline or ramp without taking
the tiller arm out of the coast control position or blocking the
wheels.
4. You may now use the
sidetracker option.
Remember that this option
makes the unit travel only in
the forward direction.
Always operate this unit
from the side when using
the coast control or
sidetracker option, never
from the front. Serious
injury could occur.

5. Firmly hold the steerhandle and apply slight pressure to the
sidetracker button using ngers (as shown below).
6. This will signal the motor controller to turn on the motor and travel
in the forward direction (forks trailing). If you continue to hold either
switch the unit will travel for 8-10 seconds. You will then have
to reactivate either switch to start traveling again. Any time you
release the switch the unit will coast to a stop.
When operating, always allow enough area in front of unit for
coasting. In most instances the operator will only be pushing
the sidetracker switches for a few seconds at a time.
