OPERATING CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS
STEERHEAD AND TILLER ASSEMBLY (cont’d)
ELECTRONIC ACTIVATED COAST CONTROL (CLICK AND
COAST) SWITCH OPTION - 2W2 ONLY
This optional feature allows the truck to coast for more efcient order
picking. This optional feature will engage (activate) the coast control
electronically, with no manual operation. To engage (activate) this
option, the operator must place the handle in the coast control position,
as shown below. Then depressing either of the soft-touch sealed
switches, located on either side of the steerhead as shown below, will
actuate the solenoid and engage the steer tiller handle in the coast
control position.
Note: You do not have to hold
the soft-touch switch in, just
depress it once.
• When coast control is engaged, the service brake must be
manually applied by either pushing the tiller handle to its fully
lowered position or by releasing the tiller handle which will
return it to the vertical position. This will engage the coast
control with little effort, allowing the tiller handle to continue
up to brake "on" position as seen in the illustration at left.
• Do not operate the 2W2 in riding mode (on platform) when
coast control is engaged as this requires the operator to
manually apply the brake.
